Just a couple on the nasdaq futures for me on friday...waited for the markets to open and give some direction..started getting the push down so looked for the pullbacks to hop in short..first was a real solid signal managed to grab +17, the second which came afterwards was a bit weaker as the downmove seemed to be losing steam..grabbed it for +11..stopped after those 2 winners as I took my +28 ticks and called it a week...then it was off to the golf course where I played the resort course at the Fairmont Southampton, back to the charts next week..

Thurs..

Went to an apartment viewing this morning so missed the stock market opening..came back and this was the only trade I took, on oil we had the push up and then a pullback..stopped out at b/e +1 never got the continuation I was looking for..I finally upgraded to the newer strategic charts too as you can see from the posting, same idea behind entries and exits except chart displays dynamic zones showing market direction and reversal areas, and these move and adjust as the market moves..

Wednesday

No trading for me today as I was on the golf course this morning! Beautiful weather and a course I had not played in years (Mid Ocean Golf Course in Bermuda)..my golf game could use some improvement but I had fun! lol back to trading tomorrow..(here's a view of the par-3 17th hole)

Monday..

Andddd the trade posted earlier was my only trade of the day...unfortunately I had internet connection issues for most of the morning, and even while I was in the trade I got a disruption in my data for a few seconds, so rather than risk anything I stopped after the first trade...from what I can see markets were down most of the day...will be back in action tomorrow..

thursday..

busy day lots of trades...the markets were all over trending up and down anyway focussed on the nq today as usual, could not keep up with both nq and ym..here are the trades below quite a few losers but let the winners run and caught some good trades early..+21 net

home!

back in bermuda now and all set up..pretty busy apartment-hunting etc but still have managed to trade a bit each day this week...today took my normal setups, actually got stopped out on the first trade by 1 tick and going back I didn't have my stop in the right place (supposed to be 2 ticks below the entry bar) but the next trade worked out...third trade I was in, my internet cut off..when i finally got back online I was still in the trade and closed for a few ticks profit..I would have been stopped at breakeven had I been managing the trade as per normal so I marked it as a breakeven trade...decided to stop as couldn't risk any more net problems...+5 ticks and off to look at a few apartments I will be back in action again tomorrow..

wednesday

Nothing spectacular today...just a few trades on the nq 2 of which were breakeven trades..the markets were up alot and then didn't move much once open.. I may or may not trade tomorrow as our internet is getting cut off as we are moving back to bermuda on sunday..

tuesday

Not a bad day, markets were in freefall mode all day it looks like...i caught some of the start of the selling, traded nq and ym after the markets opened at 9.30..waited to see where things looked like they were going and then started taking my setup..couple losers thrown in but all-in-all grabbed some decent ticks...as I look through the charts I can see that just after I left the charts this morning (around 11.30am) things really started moving down and I missed out on some good shorts...ah well net totals on the day were +26 on nq and +16 on ym for +42 in total..

slow monday

was around this morning to do some trading as usual but things were just not moving..i was expecting the market to be quieter after the holiday weekend, plus it was a holiday in europe today..anyway was weary at first of the equity indexes bcoz of the negative jobs report that came out on friday..the stock markets were down big all day but there was an upmove mid-morning before further dropping..just 2 trades for me on the nq, one loss looking for the continuation down for -10 then a winner after the push up and retrace for another long that was +18..net +8 ticks and time to play xbox..back at it tmr

thursday

Shortened session for me today, my mom is visiting Toronto so we are doing touristy things today here..slower markets ahead of nfp release and holiday tomorrow, I had the nasdaq and dow futures charts up..just a couple trades in each nasdaq was one win and one loss for net +2 ticks, ym was 1 win and 1 b/e for +15 ticks..not the greatest day but was slower and I'll take positive ticks any day of the week..I may trade a bit tomorrow morning when the nfp news is released but doubt I will be around much as the stock markets are closed..happy easter!

great day of trading (wednesday)

wow...following the rules and being patient certainly paid today..not to mention the markets were in a big downmove all morning with negative economic data coming out..no losses for me today anyway traded the nasdaq and dow futures and waited for the entries to present themselves..2 trades on the nasdaq and just 1 on the ym and caught some nice moves, add that to the fact that i traded 2 contracts which meant i could capture the larger move as evident on the nq..i also traded oil after the 10.30am release of oil inventories (normally this release gives some good moves in oil)..sure enough after the release oil dropped nicely and i waited for my entries and got them, only trading 1 contract for a set target of 15 ticks..NQ +48ticks, YM +14 ticks, and CL +45 ticks (notice I did not take one further cl entry a little later on which was profitable too, reason I didnt take it was because I was already up 107 ticks on the day!!)..

tuesday..

Followed the nasdaq and dow futures today...quite a choppy market no real pushes during my timeslot but as usual, sticking to my rules and taking trades as they set..one slightly aggressive trade which was the push down to the yellow dotted line (balance point) which is normally good for a trade off of this line (it had also held previously in the session)..net was +22 ticks on the nasdaq, I didnt take any YM, 6E or oil trades as had some internet issues so kept my ticks banked..interesting to note was the great moves in the afternoon after the FED meeting minutes were released...there were some smooth moves in the afternoon too bad I wasn't around for it..back at it again tomorrow

monday

As a follow up to my live trade posted earlier...traded the tf and nq futures today. Reason I traded the NQ was to be able to trade 2 contracts while keeping my risk the same (nq is $5/tick while tf is $10)..this was to test out letting the second contract go for a bigger target, u will notice on the nq chart the trailing stop lines above or below price, I basically trail the second contract's stop up in an effort to catch the long runs..

TF started slowly and followed the ruled, market started pushing upwards so then buys were in finished net +18 ticks

NQ: similar chart to the tf, buys were in and here you can see the 2 exits, first at 16 ticks and second trailing the stop dots up..finished net +20ticks per contract on the nq

The big mover today was oil..I did not trade oil as was busy with the other markets however I did take a look at the oil chart and marked entries only just for hindsight...oil would have given well over +100 ticks per contract..

I'll keep an oil chart up in the background from now on to take advantage if it's moving well like today again...

Live NQ trade..

Right now I'm in a Nasdaq trade, same setup however I am trading 2 contracts with 2 separate targets (as shown the 2 green target lines)..just thought I'd take a snapshot and show the trade I'm in currently, will update more later..
