Monday's executions

Executions of trades in the futures acct...average day in terms of movement just 3 trades for me..

Today's trades (rainbow entries)

Here are the same trades on a rainbow chart...the rainbow chart is the chart I use for entries (along with a 5min), it is the same setup that myself and a good friend/trading partner have been using for years now..the executions in the previous post were done in my futures acct..so basically i pick trades using spot forex charts, but enter them either in a spot acct or sometimes a futures acct..(lately it has been more the futures acct)..

Todays trades

Quite a few trades today..market was moving nicely for the most part..net +18 ticks, was up over 30 at one point..

Trades for today

Traded euro futures today in my personal account..here is a snapshot of all my entries and exits, i am still deciding the best way to post individual trades, might go back to the way i used to do it with a rainbow snapshot and brief discription..but anyway an ok session got caught out a couple times but made up for it with some smooth trades once the trend had established down again..late start today too as some friends of ours are expecting their first child today so been busy with hospital visits etc..back again tmr

Open for business

I spent the last week of October in Arizona on a family vacation and have now moved to Toronto for the next 7 months. It took a couple of days to get everything set up here but I am now ready for trading..here is the Toronto setup, I hope to update most days on my trading activity..

Not much going on..

Not much happening this week so far, was the holiday on Monday and haven't really taken any trades..just one to post...there are some good news releases coming starting this evening with australian employment figures then tomorrow crude oil and natural gas inventories...will update with the progress of the newstrades tomorrow..

Back to blogging...

It has been a while since I posted here (over a year!)..I have been trading during that time as well as doing other things which have kept me quite busy..here is a brief update on my current trading methods and practices:

- I am now trading fx futures in the same way I traded spot forex previously..the moves of the currency futures are quite similar to the spot market so it has been an easy changeover..in addition to euro futures I am also trading crude oil futures from time to time

- Along with a couple other traders I have been testing and trading the market fluctuations after specific economic news releases, based on deviations between the actual and forecasted data..so far this is proving to be an interesting and potentially very profitable method of trading as well but more on that as time goes on..

I will try to post charts and discuss my trades as often as I can..(below is a chart showing the entries and exits on some oil trades I took a couple days ago)...to be continued
