I spent the last week of October in Arizona on a family vacation and have now moved to Toronto for the next 7 months. It took a couple of days to get everything set up here but I am now ready for trading..here is the Toronto setup, I hope to update most days on my trading activity..

Back to blogging...

It has been a while since I posted here (over a year!)..I have been trading during that time as well as doing other things which have kept me quite busy..here is a brief update on my current trading methods and practices:

- I am now trading fx futures in the same way I traded spot forex previously..the moves of the currency futures are quite similar to the spot market so it has been an easy changeover..in addition to euro futures I am also trading crude oil futures from time to time

- Along with a couple other traders I have been testing and trading the market fluctuations after specific economic news releases, based on deviations between the actual and forecasted data..so far this is proving to be an interesting and potentially very profitable method of trading as well but more on that as time goes on..

I will try to post charts and discuss my trades as often as I can..(below is a chart showing the entries and exits on some oil trades I took a couple days ago)...to be continued

#4

#4: Anddd the euro moved even higher...i had my weekly pivot at 24 area, and sure enough we got yellow and a stall just above at 25/26..i shorted at 24 and held knowing this would probly be a key area...exit was at 19 probly calling it a session

#3

#3: Should have held that last buy as we kept pushing higher...missed the yellow around 94 but took the stall above 00...it came around 08 so i hopped in the short at 06 looking for a few as the price bounced back a bit

Interest Rate Statement

Didn't trade this morning as I knew the interest rate statement would provide some nice moves in the afternoon..therefore I worked at the marina in the morning so I could be around the computers in the afternoon..anyway here goes:

#1: A huge spike up after the announcement..once the move looked a bit exhausted I shorted on price action (pause and step below the tma)...out for a few 77 to 74

#2: After the huge move up was expecting some continuation...hopped in at 50 and it hovered here for a bit before breaking back up..love these trades as they are smooth sailing..50 buy and a 67 exit
